The feeling is just indescribable for me when I saw my wedding cake. I just know I've found my passion in life. It makes me happy and I'm always inspired to learn and create cakes, cookies or whatever desserts I can decorate.

My Wedding Cake
Today was the last day of my Master Course in Cake Decorating. I chose a wedding cake with pink flowers cascading on one side as my final project. Besides the fact that I love the color pink, I love details and this is really where I can show my craftsmanship. It took me three days to complete this two-tiered wedding cake. Initially, I spent one day icing the cake as I couldn't quite figure out how to smoothen it. I also wasn't able to figure out the correct consistency of the icing so being the perfectionist that I am, I didn't stop mixing my icing until I got the consistency I wanted. Then last Saturday, I spent one whole day piping roses in different sizes. Finally, on the third day (which is today), I dotted my cake and assembled everything. Dotting the cake alone took me five hours and I'm not complaining. This is what I love to do and this is my labor of love. This is not where my classes end. I'm taking two more courses - basic and advanced fondant.
